Founded in 2003, Eton College is designated by the Private Training Institutions Branch (PTIB) under the BC Ministry of Advanced Education, Skills and Training. It offers career and academic programs covering the Travel, Tourism, Hospitality, Flight Attendant, and Business Administration sectors. To date, Eton College has trained almost 2,000 domestic and international students for careers in various services industries.

Job Summary

The Program and Career Advisor plays an important role in the college and within the admissions/career services department. Your main responsibilities will be providing program and career information through interviews and telephone conversations on opportunities that are available at Eton College according to Colleges Admissions Training Manual. In house product knowledge and industry related training will be provided to successful candidates.


To identify the program that best suits the potential students according to their career goals. Ensuring all potential students are well informed on their decision to go back to school.

To ensure that all students interested in Eton College are well informed regarding program and Career Opportunities.


  • Follow up on sales leads and actively promote the programs offered by Eton College.
  • Meet or exceed student enrollment targets set for each intake by the Campus Manager/Director.
  • Contribute to the development and delivery of both individual and team sales strategies.
  • Provide information and career planning advice to prospective students on all programs available at Eton College.
  • Assist with sales, marketing and promotional activities as required, and be available outside of normal work hours to be involved in planned marketing events as required.
  • Handle inquiry calls, walk-ins and schedules admissions appointments.
  • Conduct admissions interviews and follow up with prospective students.
  • Assist students in overcoming obstacles and guide them through the enrollment process.
  • Ensure weekly admissions reports are up to date and accurate.
  • Keep Campus Manager informed about any student concerns and student challenges that may be causes for students to withdraw.
  • Ensure compliance with the Private Training Institutions Branch, Provincial and Student Aid BC and any national standards for quality education.
  • Administrate the student registration process and ensure that student files have complete documentation that comply with PTIB regulations.
  • Participate at school/career day presentations and required
  • Monitor, review and follow up on the results of all inquiries and face to face interviews
  • Maintain a line of communication with Instructors regarding their programs and current/potential students that will be starting a program in their classroom.
  • Provide ongoing support for students enrolled in programs at Eton College in relation to general information, student loans etc.
  • Assist with student retention and successful completion through proactive contact
  • Performs other duties as assigned by the appropriate administrator.

Qualifications and Experience

  • Three years’ experience in sales/marketing environment.
  • A combination of education and Sales experience can be considered as an equivalency to the educational requirements
  • A Bachelor’s degree is preferred but not required.
  • An in-depth knowledge of current funding programs for students (familiarity with Student Aid is an asset)
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Fluency to speak a second language is considered an asset
  • A friendly and outgoing personality
  • A genuine desire to assist students in their career planning
  • The ability to organize effectively and prioritize workload
  • Good time management skills as this is a fast-paced environment
  • Act in a friendly, courteous, professional manner
  • Strong communication (both orally and written) and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work with minimum supervision
  • Ability to discuss solution-oriented ideas with management
  • Ability to utilize G Suite is an asset


  • Salary range: $50,000 – $60,000 CAD annually
