Senior Director, University Partnership

Reports To: Vice President, USA

What You’ll Do:

  • Contribute to the development, management, and implementation of a regional partnership development strategy. 
  • Take a lead role in researching, sourcing, and developing new partnerships with US institutions.
  • Represent the MSM brand professionally, while communicating the mission and services clearly.
  • Articulate, differentiating, and positioning the value of MSM’s services.
  • Qualify potential partners to ensure alignment with MSM’s mission and services.
  • Efficiently manage a continuous pipeline of new partner opportunities to meet business goals through regular funnel reporting, effective communication across teams regarding partner activities, and ensuring follow through on partner onboarding and launch events.
  • Work closely with the partnership development team to identify new solutions and services to offer to partner institutions.
  • Work closely with the partnership development team to gather insights through analytics and feedback to learn from our successes and failures to create long term value and evolve our services to meet the needs of our partners, and markets.
  • Ongoing strategic reporting of potential opportunities within the region.
  • Work across organizational teams to support effective relationship management with all stakeholders and partners, including the operations team, and the in-country admissions and recruitment teams.
  • Attend and presenting at key industry events.
  • Assist the Vice President with managing leads and engaging with partners as required.

Who We Are Looking for:

  • A business development professional with a bachelor’s degree in a relevant field is required (e.g., BS or BA in Business, Marketing or Communications); a master’s degree is preferred.
  • Minimum 5 to 10 years prior experience of Partnerships/Business Development/Sales experience in the US Education Industry/Market.
  • Influential personality with good connections in the US Education domain. 
  • High level of integrity in dealing with confidential information; business savviness, sales-orientation, and entrepreneurial spirit.
  • Sound knowledge of the landscape of international higher education; with background in academic institutional partnership development in the US.
  • Ability to multitask and work under pressure, with excellent organizational skills and attention to detail, and strong project management skills.
  • Excellent relationship building and management skills with both internal and external stakeholders.
  • Excellent presentation, verbal and written communications skills to effectively develop and maintain partnerships and cross train MSM colleagues on US best practices.
  • Excellent negotiation skills, with experience with contract negotiations.
  • Strong analytical skills, with superior problem-solving skills.
  • Can work independently with minimal supervision. Can exercise sound judgment.
  • Proven track record of meeting or exceeding goals.
  • Experience using CRM tools.

Position Information

  • Full-time; Remote US-based.
  • Must be authorized to work in the US on a permanent basis.
