Concordia University hosted an incubation program last month called Our Generation Speaks (OGS). It’s objective is to gather Israeli and Palestinians leaders to create impactful ventures.
A select group of business leaders come together to collaborate on projects that have a social and economic benefit. The goal is to take steps that could positively impact the region. Four entrepreneurs can work with Concordia’s District 3 Innovation team to develop their startups. Concordia students from various academic fields also joined them.
In OGS, you can apply to be a fellow and spend three months getting business and finance training. The program hopes that the skills and experiences they learned will be used to create social actions that go beyond political boundaries. It gives them a chance to receive funding as well as inputs from business experts.
The current situation between the Israeli-Palestine region remains unsteady. Collaborations and projects such as these can hopefully ease cultural division to encourage economic growth for both groups involved.
