Consultation at Canadian High Commission
New Delhi, India

We were there: Consultation at the Canadian High Commission

Start date:  March 15, 2017
Venue: Canadian High Commission

The Canadian High Commission constantly seeks to improve and strengthen the relations between Canadian and Indian stakeholders within the international Education industry.

In its recognition of MSM as a key stakeholder, the Canadian High Commission extended an invitation to us to participate in its stakeholders’ consultation event held on March 15, 2017. MSM was aptly represented by our Vice President Suneetha Qureshi.

A number of key stakeholders – Canadian public colleges and education related companies such as MSM – participated in the consultation. Chief among the aim of the event was for the CHC to garner feedback on how to improve the quality of student applicants to Canada. Canada is currently the 4th destination of choice for students from India planning to study abroad, with the numbers of applicants for the past year doubling that of the previous year. There were panel discussions on the quality of applicants and whether the bar should be raised for academics or IELTS score. All the colleges who participated indicated that they select students on good academic merits and that 95% of their students graduate from the program they are enrolled in. As a result of the meeting, impending changes from the CHC will take place in the coming weeks.

If you want to learn more about having MSM participate in your event or to learn of future events where we will be in attendance, please visit http://msquaremedia.com/news-events/ or feel free to contact us @ suneetha@msquaremedia.com

Alternatively, if you are unable to attend the conference we would be delighted to arrange a meeting or telephone call to discuss how we support institutions from across the world. To set up a meeting or arrange a call please contact us.
