MSM Higher Ed President Donna Hooker receives the BCCIE Lifetime Achievement Award
MSM Higher Ed President Donna Hooker was recognized as the BCCIE Lifetime Achievement Award recipient at BCCIE’s International Education Week (BCIEW) on June 28th.
Each year, the British Columbia Council for International Education (BCCIE) recognizes the professionalism, dedication and efforts of an exemplary group of experts and practitioners in the diverse field of international education in BC.
Donna has worked with many BCIT institutions including BCIT where she continues to teach; as Director International at Vancouver Community College (VCC) where she added academic leadership to her portfolio; and at Capilano University where she began working with MSM as a client. Donna also teaches Services Marketing in Vienna Austria She has developed a comprehensive expertise of international education, strategic partnerships and student success and has a professional interest in the role international education can play to reduce critical skills shortages in Canada.
Donna acknowledges the many mentors who encouraged her and challenges other international professionals to share their commitment to the industry by continuing the growth of the emerging professionals in this exciting field.

And it’s been a privilege and a passion to be part of the sector’s movement. Today, international education is a leading clean industry, and a major economic contributor to our institutions and provincial communities.”
