Despite their global education dreams being derailed by the pandemic, Indian students are still keen on studying abroad this 2021 as some studies show.


We did some digging and found the higher education institutions that are the most popular among Indian international students. Unsurprisingly, most of them can be found in the US, while one is in Australia.


Below are some of the most popular universities for Indian students where they feel at home the most.

Northeastern University

Located in Boston, Massachusetts, Northeastern University is a very popular private university among Indian students. About 32.5 percent of the student population are international students, and a big portion of them are of Indian descent.


A lot of events here are created for and by international students, which makes the university undoubtedly one of the best choices for Indian students. If you attend the school, you are likely to stay around as its retention rate for freshmen is 97 percent. You can join UTSAV, the South Asian community at Northeastern, and participate in its events like the Nataraj culture show, the Holi celebration, and the Dhol Baaje.
